A layout and a card

Hi there! I'd like to share two works I made with Scrapmatts chipboards and charms. Both of them are very romantic and layered, hope you'll like them!

First I made this layout using lots of chippies and charms

In this page I used chipboards CB2022 Leaf Spray, MC1028 Micro Chips 20, CB1107 Clocks 08 and CB2014 Twig 01. The charms CH085 Frame #9 and CH064 Keys #3were

And after so much pink I wanted something different, so I made this blue and white card with the CB5113 Heart Frames 10 frame

Beautiful Lyon.

 Hello and welcome fellow bloggers!
I hope 2015 has started on a high  and positive for you.
Today I'm sharing a layout I created as part of a Christmas present for my nephew's European Holiday album...
this is the
 'Beautiful Lyon'

Scrapmatts products used:

CB5044 Trees 03
CB4066 Ornate Frames 23

So often I create with quite a lot of chipboard on a layout but this time I wanted to feature just 2 pieces and I thought the Scrapmatts Tree was the perfect complement for the photo and the leaf sprig perfect to soften the title and extend length of page.

Thankyou for dropping by the blog and see you again soon! G.

At The Beach and Some Birthday Cards by Lauren

I live on the Gold Coast, which is known for being a coastal tourist attraction centre, so you would think that when Scrapmatts released a new Marine Life chipboard set I would be all over it, right? Wrong, I rarely head to the beach, largely due to my pale skin which goes from white to red in about 10 minutes flat regardless of the amount of sunscreen I slather on. The chipboard did look adorable though so I eventually remembered I had these photos from a morning stroll I did with friends sometime last year and set to work.

All the chipboard comes from CB4067 Marine Life 02. I have used seven pieces on this layout and there are still fifteen left in the sheet! The pink/orange pieces have been coloured with Gelatos, the blue pieces with Glimmermist and the seaweed has been left natural in the white mist finish the sheet came in.

My second set of projects for the Scrapmatts DT this month are a couple of birthday cards. Chipboard is the perfect embellishment for cardmaking. It is relatively flat, light weight and can easily be coloured to match any colour scheme. I whipped up two quick birthday cards for family members in the past month and they were both very impressed with the results.

Chipboard for both my frame and sentiment in this earthy card. I used CB1198 Scrapwords 06 and CB6091 Ornate Frames 19. After creating my own patterned paper in this second card all I needed was some glitter alphas and some chipboard chevrons (CB5106 Chevrons 01).

If you've created a card, or any other project, using Scrapmatts chipboard please come share it with us in the gallery.

Hello all!
Kim here to share a creation using some awesome
products.
My first post for 2015 here on the Scrapmatts blog & today I want to share a
Christmas canvas I created of my Grandson
 'Flynn'

I have used the negative of the Scrapmatts Snowflakes as a stencil
(I truly love these snowflakes! Just so STUNNING!!!)
Using the negatives as stencils is a fabulous way to get value for your money!
......and we all love that!

Scrapmatts products used;

I'm looking forward to lots of creating this year & I have been busy
making Christmas cards for Christmas 2015, they just need
a little machine stitching on them! (trying to get a head start....)
I am also making 'Night Before Christmas' gift boxes for my children using
lots of Scrapmatts Christmas goodies, which I shall show you once complete.

I hope you a planning a creative 2015?
Be sure to keep popping in to see what the

Butterfly Mini Canvas

Hello, hope you have all had a great start to 2015. Crece here with you today to share a couple of the things I have been busy creating.

First up is  a mini canvas...

and a little side angle view...

I wanted to do a little mixed media on the canvas, so i used muslin, tissuepaper, stamps (which are hard to see) and some texture paste. I then used dylusions in a couple of colours and was really happy with the way it turned out.
I then heat embossed using Stampendous aged ivory embossing enamel on the String Circle.
I inked the smaller butterflies with Moonlight White Brilliance ink, and then using Turquoise inka gold, I covered the metal butterfly embellishment.

'To Travel is to Live'

I have used the Mini Tray round and covered it in old gold Ferro. It gives it a nice rough sandy sort of texture which works in great with the beachy/sea theme.

I inked the seagulls and lighthouse - they come from the pack -CB1221 Nautical Designs 04.
I also added the tag 'To travel is to Live' from the CB1209 Scrap Words 12 pack.
I have also used the new Montage sheet SC019 By the Sea #1 which fits perfectly in the mini tray round.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look, please pop on over to our gallery and look at other wonderful creations done by our design team. We also love to see your creations, so please upload them to the gallery so we can see them too.

Hello 2015

Happy new year everyone... although by now it is in full force already, over a week into the new year. I hope yours has gotten off to a fantastic start.

Like so many, I am still playing catch up on my December Daily. Unfortunately my printer stopped working late November and I only replaced it last week so a bit of a delay on photo printing has slowed me down somewhat.

But I'm plodding along. Here are a few more pages:

And yes I have a little person who is scared of Santa so lucky mummy got another santa photo this year.

I am also motivated to make all the cards for family birthdays ASAP this year so they are good to go throughout the year. Part of my plan of simplifying. So here is my niece's card who hasn't got a birthday til mid February.

Do you like to make cards in advance or are you a spur of the moment card maker?

Happy 2015!

It's hard to believe we are at the start of another new year but here we go for another 365 day adventure :) It wasn't until I saw my photos of this months projects together that I realised that I've gone for a bit of a blue theme which was definitely not planned. The relaxed feel of the blue must be what I needed after the hectic times of the Christmas and New Year celebrations!
My layout is using the gorgeous Stringed Circles CB5114 which I just adore and seem to go with so many different styles of scrapbooking and card making:
Using Scrapmatts chipboard Stringed Circles CB5114, Feathers CB1222 and Assorted Words CB6101 along with Scrapmatts Charms Filigree Flower #16 CH076 and Filigree Flower #6 CH012

Scrapmatts have also just released a Seaside / Nautical theme of chipboard which includes some gorgeous word titles and sea themed shapes. They go so beautifully with some vintage Seaside images on some tags:
Using Scrapmatts chipboard Tags CB3008, Marine Life CB4067, Marine Life CB1226, Leaf Spray CB4063, Assorted Words 04 CB1192 and Assorted Words 02 CB1190

How gorgeous is that 'By the Sea' title :)

Now I feel like getting that sand between my toes and enjoying Summer!

Happy New Year filled with lots of STARS

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and Happy New Year.

I am going to share with you a LO I created using some Fabulous Red Chipboard Christmas embellishments.  This was a class I taught at Workshop Wonders event in December, where Scrapmatts was one of my sponsors.

Then for some closeups:

Then I have created a fun and festive Layout, showing some pictures from my son's birthday party from last year.  I have used the same stars as on my other Christmas design, however, I have created a title tag.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have enjoyed my shares.  Looking forward to a fun filled year in 2015.
