Set of Tags by Tracey Fowler

Today I have a set of tags that I have framed.
These set of tags (CB3011 and CB3010 ) were lots of fun, simple and quick to create.
What I love about tags are they are a great way to use up scraps from your
scrapping collection but by framing them
can make a fabulous handmade gift for someone special.

This first tag I have heat embossed the butterflies (CB1015, and CB4008 Butterflies )  in gold and used structure paste, a stencil and gold shimmer spray for the background.

For this tag I have used the tag CB3011 and Scrapwords. When framing your tags you can offset embellishments on your tags to give more impact and dimension to your creation.

For my final tag in the collection, I have also heat embossed the ornate frame CB1220  in gold and
used scrap words CB1190 .

"Happy Heart"

For this layout I have used lots of Scrapmatts goodies.  I have heat embossed the CB1229 Chains, and CB5114 String Circles. Used a little piece of mesh (CB5129 Circle Mesh 02 ) and the stunning chipboard lace from the CB4060 Ornate Frames set.
No scrapbook layout would be complete without the scrapwords CB1190 .

Well after all this creating I have a bit of mess to clean up in my scrap room, but it was all worth it! Nothing is more relaxing than spending a few hours in my "happy place"!

Easter Baskets by Lauren Tomecek

Scrapmatts runs brilliant classes at shows and expos. Even before I was on the design team I would always make sure I did one of their classes at every expo I went to. Sofie makes sure you finish all the projects during the class (anyone else have a pile of unfinished projects they didn't finish in a class?) and you also get a couple of sheets of extra chipboard to create projects at home too. I had these baskets in my 'extras' stash for quite a while from one of the classes and just realised they would be perfect for some Easter themed cards.

This little guy has a smaller sized basket and I managed to make him using the background off-cuts from the other two cards. I couldn't resist the pun title. :)

I received the bunny for this card in an Easter themed swap some years ago and he's just been sitting in my stash since then. So happy to have been able to use a number of scraps the complete this card. Basket was raw chipboard with some gesso spread around using my finger.

It had been so long since I'd created my own rolled flowers because they used to take so long as you held them in place waiting for the glue to dry. This time around I used glue dots and it was so much quicker! This basket has been given a proper painting of gesso over raw.

Creating with Scrapmatts!

Hello All :)
Kim here to share with you a few creations I've put together over the last month
using some glorious
 SCRAPMATTS
chipboard.
The first item is a little tag.

I have used the stunning
&
on the Scrapmatts Tag

I created the background for this tag by using a stencil & texture paste, once the paste was dry
I inked over the top using black Ranger Distress Ink, then using a wet wipe I wiped the ink off the raised texture paste.

My next project is a layout created using one of the February releases

 [Remember When]
Not the clearest/sharpest photo, but it has a special place in my heart.
This is when my little brother became a Daddy.

I have used the
&

I simply love the added dimension the Bubbles, give my layout.

My final share is a layout created for the new challenge blog, KRAFT+

[Sunshine]
featuring stunning little 'Ayva'

For this layout I have used the
My Diamond mesh was in raw, (you can buy this in a variety of colours)
so I simply painted it in gesso, then carefully cut & bent it into the required shape.

I am so loving all the new releases at
do yourself a favour a check them out...... also
remember to check out the gallery over at the

A card and a mini canvas

Hello everyone, Crece here with you today to share a couple of things ive been creating this month.

First up is a Birthday card I created using the new 'Lavender' CB1234 Flowers 12

For this card I have used Scrapmatts chipboard...
CB1234 Flowers 12 (new)
I have also used 724 Gelly Roll Purple Star pen to colour the lavender and Happy Birthday chipboard.

My next project is a mini canvas...

Make like a Lighthouse and Shine

I created a mixed media background on a mini canvas. I then used Gold Ferro to create the look of sand. I used the pack CB 1221 Nautical Designs 04
I heat embossed the anchor with embossing powder in copper.
I coloured the lighthouse first in Brilliance Dew Drop Platinum Planet and then the red was from 719 Gelly Roll Red Star
the foliage was coloured with 729 Gelly Roll Green Star.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look.
We would love to see your work in our Gallery.

Time is Flying...

Time has been flying over the last three months. My latest project for Scrapmatts
is a hand made time piece.
I love to create hand made things and Scrapmatts chipboard was a great assets when it
came to this project.

I have made clock with a spring feel. As we approach cooler weather I hope it will keep
a little spring colour and cheerful ness in my home.

The Scrapmatts packs that I used were the following :

CB 5111Layered Fob Watch02
CB 1146 Leaf Spray 01
CB 1072 Gears 01

Thanks for stopping by please order chipboard from the online store
for your next projects

March madness...

Somehow we have made it to March already! It seems to just get busier each year so I guess it makes it even more important to capture moments so it doesn't all just pass by in a blur. Luckily Andrew and Sofie make the creating part of scrapbooking those moments easier with so many gorgeous new releases :)
This month we have some fabulous buckles, chains and background pieces which are so versatile and make a wonderful addition to a project:
Using Scrapmatts chipboard Stringed Circles CB5114 and Bubbles CB5131

The chipboard pieces have been heat embossed in white

The pieces I couldn't wait to work with are the new chains. I mixed the two packets of chains together to link the Lamp Post piece across the page:
Using Scrapmatts chipboard Chains 01 CB5132, Chains 02 CB1229, Gears 02 CB1073, Buckles and Belts CB1231 and Lamp Posts CB4028 along with Scrapmatts charms Assorted Charms (clock) CH031

The chipboard has all been heat embossed in white. It's always fun to try to look at different ways to use the chipboard. To make this linked chain I cut off part of the chains that come as circles to form the first piece of a longer chain and the light is actually part of a Lamp Post:

Have fun with all the new goodies :)
