Layout and card

Hi everyone! I'd like to share my latest works with Scrapmatts chipboards.
As soon as I saw that pretty cicle frame with the stars I started to think of ways to use it. It's so cute! And finally I decided to make another layout of my parent's dog. I've done lots of pages about him, but he's such an adorable puppy...

The frame is the CB5138 String Circles 02, and I also used CB6103 Scrap Words 21 and a bigger star from CB5119 Hanging Stars 02

Besides from this layout I also made a christmas card. This year I want to make sure I'll have all my cards on time, so I started pretty early ;) Here I used CB1225 Pine Sprig 01

Happy Heart - By Tracey Fowler

I consider myself very lucky as I have not only my own two boys but I have two nephews (and twin nieces) that I get to spend time with often. My nephews are very different from my boys at the same age but they are just as adorable and keep me very entertained when I am with them.

I have created two layouts to share with you of my nephews.

"Happy Heart"

This layout is of my cheeky younger nephew! I have used  CB5114 String Circles,
CB1229 Chains 02 and borders from CB4060 Ornate Frames.
I have used an aged embossing powder to heat emboss the String Circles.

"EveryDay"

This is my oldest nephew, he always has a wonderful story to tell and gives the most fantastic hugs!
I have used the following Scrapmatts Chipboard; CB1072 GearsCB1016 Bird Cages,
CB1097 Floral Spray.
I have used heat embossing on the chipboard cogs to shabby them up.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have been creating with Scrapmatts Chipboard why don't you add your projects to our Gallery so we can see what you have been creating.

Celebration Layouts - Lauren Tomecek

I was going through my collection of pre-printed photos and came across this series of Christmas photos I took of Harrison last year. The DIY photoshoot was so much fun and I really liked the results but for some reason I haven't scrapped them yet. I couldn't resist this little face though. :)

I loved the plain string circles Andrew and Sofie released a while ago but recently they made them even better by adding stars, dots and arrows to the circles. I've used the stars version here (CB5138 String Circles 02) embossed in gold, along with CB1097 Floral Spray 01, CB1212 Scrap Words 14 and CB6097 Assorted Words 19.

For my birthday back in May three of my girlfriends took me on a 'surprise adventure', they only told me to get Ben to look after Harry for a few hours and then took me away. We had lunch (at a sadly disappointing Greek café) and then went to Escape Hunt. It's an escape-the-room game where you have to solve a variety of different puzzles to get through three rooms to get the code to get out. It was quite a lot of fun.

I have used CB6105 Assorted Words 23, CB6106 Assorted Words 24 and CB5031 Mini Frames 01. The camera embellishment and yellow twine were also left over from a Scrapmatts class I did at an expo.

A Few Cards with Kim :)

Hello all, Kim here to share a few cards I have made, lately!

The first one is a sweet birthday card made for one of my daughters close friends.

I kept the colours & the design simple.
I whipped this up in about half an hour.

For this card I used Scrapmatts

The next two projects are Christmas related.......
I know... but you all know how fast it creeps up on us every single year!
(Just getting a little head start!)

SCRAPMATTS has the most amazing range of Christmas chipboard, that
makes the most beautiful touch to your homemade cards!

For this card I chose to keep the Holly in its raw state & the Christmas
sentiment was just perfect!

SCRAPMATTS has a gorgeous range of reindeer's to choose from.
With this little fella I just used brown ink to colour him!
With the sentiment 'Joy' I just painted it using gesso.

I do hope you like my creations and maybe I've got you thinking about
starting on your own Christmas creations?

Make sure you pop on over to the Scrapmatts Ning site and checkout the other DT
creations?!

Thanks for stopping by

Kim

Cherish Happiness Together - Crece T

Hello everyone, Crece here on the blog with you today to share a couple of projects I have been working on using some lovely Scrapmatts chipboard.

First up is a layout.

 Cherish Happiness Together

I wanted a grungy feel for this layout so used a piece of an old moving box and roughed it up. I used gesso to cover it and then used different blue mists to colour it and then added black and splats of white.

I used Metallic melts to cover the chipboard pieces.

I have also started an art journal, that highlights special events and things I do.
We purchased a house earlier this year and I wanted create a page for the day we got the keys.

Our New Home

I have used the scrapmatts pieces CB1200 Scrapwords 08CB1158 Butterflies 20 & CB5121 Houses 01

Thanks for stopping by and having a look, for more Ideas head on over to our Gallery and get some awesome inspiration from the rest of the design team and other crafters.

A bit of Christmas sparkle

I seem to be in the mood for Christmas creating at the moment - at this rate I'll have all my Christmas goodies made by the end of September!!! It must be because of all of the fabulous Christmas products around that is getting me playing so happily :)
It wouldn't be Christmas without a bit of glitz and sparkle and adding them to an ATC or Tag looks fabulous! I did a bit of both with a decorated ATC attached to a tag for extra dimension. These make fun gift tags for presents or write on the back of the tag in place of a card.

Scrapmatts products used: Tags 03 CB3007, ATC 10-008 Rounded Corner, ATC 10-007 Arch, Scrap Words CB1212 and CB1214
I just love the added dimension to the tag when you add an ATC on top!

One of my favourite off the page pieces is the Memory Cabinet CB7011. There is just so many possibilities with this fabulous item:
I spray painted mine with white matte paint and then sanded it back for a distressed finish:

Scrapmatts products used: Memory Cabinet CB7011, Alphabet Flags CB6084 and Christmas Ornaments CB1228. Along with Scrapmatts Charms Arrows CH030 and Filigree Flower CH014

The intricate detail work on the door inserts and top piece make this cabinet something special to work with:
I hope your Christmas mojo is happening. If not then have a browse through the wonderful Christmas products available at Scrapmatts and you are sure to feel inspired!
Happy scrapping
