Gentleman's Game with Tracey Fowler

Hi Everyone,

I am sure that everyone who reads this post will know exactly where I am coming from when I say that just about every Saturday is taken up watching at least one of my boys if not both on some sporting sideline. Summer time means lots of cricket in our house!! I will admit even though I am not Australia's No 1 cricket, I certainly am learning to tolerate the sport and actually love watching my boys play the game that seems to go on for most of the day!

"Gentleman's Game"

I have created the background using scraps of paper and gelatos along with  white gesso, texture paste and stencil. I have heat embossed the circles CB5131 Bubbles with aged gold, and white washed the Charms and flowers to pull it all together. I have also used the CB1107 Clocks  cut in half, inked them black and placed them in the amongst the clusters.

"Happy Birthday"
 Card

I have created this card using this gorgeous CB6092-Ornate-Frame, and inked it  with a gold ink pad.

Christmas Comes Early - Lauren Tomecek

I LOVE Christmas and especially Christmas crafts, so it's a good thing that Scrapmatts has an amazing range of Christmas chipboard which is updated every year. I've started my Christmas crafting early this year and created two projects to share today.

First up we have this fold-out scene box. I have created this from an old cereal box and a video tutorial from here. You can see some of the depth in the box in these detail shots.

And here is what it looks like all folded up:

My second project is a layout featuring my brother (shh, he doesn't know I scrapped this!). Can you tell I love the reindeer chippies?

I have struggled to paint the star bursts in these ornaments every time I use them but this time I think I nailed it. I painted them with a pin head rather than paintbrush. :)

Hope you all have a great Christmas, don't forget to share your projects with us over at the Ning gallery.

'Once Upon A Time'

Kim Ewins

Hello All
Kim, here to share with you a layout I created using more awesome products
from
'SCRAPMATTS'

 [Once Upon A Time]

A very special layout to me.
This is a photo of my mother at the tender age of 16 years.

Lots of fussy cutting, a little lace, seed-beads and a little background texture,
add to that 'Scrapmatts' chipboard and I have a layout I can treasure forever.

I do hope you like my creation, remember for more inspiration, head on over to the
Scrapmatts Ning gallery and take a look.....loads of inspiration to kick that mojo into gear!

Thanks for stopping by

Until next time

Christmas Bunting - Crece T

Hello everyone, This year has flown by so quickly and I cant believe its almost Christmas!!!
This year at home i'm having a colour theme (Blue, Silver and White) for the tree and table in the main part of the house. So I thought what better way to use some of the new Christmas Chipboard pieces on a Bunting made out of Scrapmatts Tags!

Christmas Bunting

For the M and S I used the cute Reindeer CB5049

I heat embossed the reindeer with white embossing powder and added a pale blue bling for the nose.

On the Y I used one of the new Chipboard pieces, the Candy Cane CB5145

I used Gelly Roll Stardust pens to colour the  candy cane.

For the other S I used the  New Layered Poinsettias CB5144

I heat embossed the main flower with White, the leaves with silver and the center blue.

I used the new Christmas trees from CB 5143

I heat embossed the main body of the tree white, i embossed a star blue and mounted it on top of the tree, the base was embossed with blue and I added a solver bow to the base of the tree and added pale blue bling for baubles.

The main part of this bunting was made using the tag CB3009

I covered these with patterned paper and then went around the edges with  Gelly Roll Stardust pens.

Thanks for stopping by and having a look, remember to head on over to our Gallery and upload your projects using Scrapmatts products, we love to see them.

If your around the Gold Coast this weekend head on over to the Southport Craft Alive Show, Sofie and Andrew from Scrapmatts will be there selling their awesome products.

Scrapmatts favourites!

With so many gorgeous pieces of chipboard available from Scrapmatts, it is hard to pick favourites! However I must say I adore working with the Stringed Circles and the Beyond the Page pieces. The Stringed circles come in a few different types so it extends the options for fun just that little bit more!
This month I had a play with the Arrow Stringed Circles CB5140
Aren't they gorgeous and with three sizes of circles to choose from!!!
 Using Scrapmatts products: Stringed circles 04 CB5140, Feathers02 CB1222 and Chains 02 CB1229

Scrapmatts beyond the Page pieces are so gorgeous to work with as the quality and thickness of the chipboard is wonderful! I've used these screens a few times but they are so much fun to play with that I keep going back for more!
Using Scrapmatts products: Screens 01 CB5105, Ornate Frames 23 CB4066 (just the small frames) and Scrap Words 04 CB1192

The possibilities for these screens is just endless!
If you need a little retail therapy then pop on over to the online store here and checkout the revamped website.
Happy scrapping :)
