Hi there.  Today I'm sharing a fun milk carton gift with Scrapmatts' new nautical stencil and chipboard.  I started with a kraft milk carton and filled them with some bite sized cookies for a fun little gift.

Scrapmatts stencil: 9021 Rope
Scrapmatts chipboard: CB6117 Assorted Words

I first misted my Tattered Angels Mists on the kraft milk carton and let it dry.  The word chipboard is also misted with the same shade.

I then stenciled the aweswome ropes stencil with some glitter paste and let it set.  I then finished it off with some bling and light splattering.

I had fun making this milk carton pretty and now it's ready to be gifted.  Thanks for popping and check out more Scrapmatts goodies HERE.

Cheers,

The good old days!!!

Welcome

Fi here today, sharing with you some Heritage pages I have been working on for my Grandads mini album.  I have been working on this album for awhile now, its hard to believe I started it when he was 80 and he is now just turned 91.  I enjoyed working on it so much that it has progressed to a 2nd album.
I have created the pages with a lot less bulk so that they can be stored a little easier, I find Scrapmatts chipboard are perfect for adding texture and interest without all that extra lumpy bumpy that would probably be lost on him anyway.  I have hidden tags with questions that I've wanted to ask and so that they can be answered in his own words and with his own handwriting.  These albums will eventually be passed back to us one day, and will be treasured.

The first page here I have used a picture of my grandma, she passed when I was only 6 months old, so its one of many much treasured photos.

This picture if my Grandad when he was much younger with his brothers and my Great Grandma.

To purchase any of lovely Scrapmatts products simply click on the pictures I have provided and it will take you directly to the shop.

Well that's all from me for another month.

Take Care Fi!

Chipboard Layering -

Good morning Rikki here today to share with you two feminine layouts using a couple of key pieces of chipboard.

Layering chipboard among your fussy cutting allows you to add interest in your layers.

Clustering your flowers and your flourishes add some nice soft details......

I Could So Rock This Hair!!!

I Could So Rock This Hair

Scrapmatts

Wow I can't believe its November already. Where has the year gone?
Xmas will be here before we know it.

Today I would like to share with you my latest layout using Scrapmatts Chippy.

Rock this hair

For this layout I have used a few different pieces.
I love the triangles and I decided to use them as a background element by cutting them apart and placing them behind my photo. I have coloured them with Kaisercraft Mist.

For more detail behind the photo I also used the circle mesh and the chain link.

I have splattered black ink on the background and used the Coffee Stain stamp from Kaszazz for added detail.

This layout has been created on Watercolour 12x12 paper.
I have just discovered this paper and the process to create a watercolour background. I'm in love with it. I feel like a painter when I am doing this and believe me I am no watercolour artist!!!
I have added some prima flowers to frame the picture.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have found some inspiration to create

Daddy Hugs and Smile - Lauren Tomecek

Sometimes when you have a great photo, it's important to let it be the star of the layout and not over clutter the layout with embellishments or layers. I find Scrapmatts chipboard is the perfect finishing touch for these kinds of layouts, subtle yet effective. It's also nice sometimes to create a simple layout that doesn't take ages.

I have used the stencil ST9008-A5 to apply some white gesso over parts of the background, then covered the same areas with sections of CB5126 Diamond Mesh 02. Lastly, I've used CB1155 Ferns 01 to frame my title.

Scrapmatts is sponsoring the current challenge over at CSI: Color, Stories and Inspiration. The case file is below. I've used leaves, a heart, wood/woodgrain and vellum from the evidence and my journaling is inspired by the words 'outside' and 'calm'.

I created my second project whilst on a retreat last month. It was so good to get away and focus on nothing but relaxing and crafting for a whole weekend!

These flowing script words from CB6117 Assorted Words 30 make perfect titles. I've coloured mine using two layers of Versacolor inks to match the background cardstock. I've coloured a medium sized butterfly from CB4008 Butterflies 01 with liquid pearls to add texture and shine.

You can see the largest circle from the CB5139 String Circles 03 set in these close ups, which I've cut in half to use in two spots. This has been inked too, then some pearls glued as accents on all the dots. You can also see a small tab covered in washi tape from CB5117 Tabs 01 and a smaller butterfly from the same set.

Thanks for looking!
